BPN brings safe drinking water to communities around the world. In addition, it also shares project information with others working to improve water solutions around the world. BPN created an online global marketplace called Peer Water Exchange to drive quality improvement, efficient allocation of capital and scaling of proven solutions in this domain.
Peer Water Exchange connects funders, NGOs and communities to streamline water and sanitation project planning, investment, management and long-term monitoring. This increases the impact, efficiency and accountability of all participants, scales the global community’s ability to reach even the most remote areas, and creates new opportunities to transform lives with sustainable safe drinking water. BPN delivers full accountability with ongoing project progress, data and long-term monitoring reports online for easy access and full transparency.
Since 2002, BPN has grown from 5 to 92 global members, working in 25 countries, including the United States. Its 92 members have empowered 980,000 people in over 1,350 communities by giving them access to clean drinkingwater and sanitation. Blue Planet Network’s vision is a world in which all people have affordable access to sustainable safe drinking water and the opportunity to obtain the health, education and economic benefits clean water brings.
