Goodwill Ambassadors

Our Goodwill Ambassadors each have a global impact of their own in various areas of doing good.  They are active spotters, experts, advisors, and advocates for Katerva's goodwill efforts.  We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank them.

Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Nuaimi
Sheikh Al Nuaimi is a member of the ruling family of the Emirate of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates and famously known worldwide as the “Green Sheikh”, is taking his message of ’holistic living’ to the world, activating his networks worldwide and inspiring people of all ages, religions and backgrounds. He is currently serving as environmental advisor to the Ajman Government, the CEO of Al Ihsan Charity Centre supporting less fortunate families and children, and WANA Forum in Jordan as international senior board advisor, where he is also Chairman of the International Steering Committee for the Global Initiative Towards a Sustainable Iraq (GITSI), UAE.
Prince El Hassan bin Talal
A pluralist, believing in consensus and respect for the other, His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, believes in societies in which all peoples can live, work and function in freedom and with dignity. This goal has been the moving force behind his interest and involvement in humanitarian and interfaith issues, with particular stress on the human dimension of conflicts. He has initiated, founded and is actively involved in a number of Jordanian and international institutes and committees. He co-chaired the Independent Commission on International Humanitarian Issues (ICIHI), 1983 and is currently Chairman of the Higher Council for Science and Technology, the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies, the Royal Scientific Society and President and Patron of the Arab Thought Forum. His Royal Highness is a Board Member of the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI), served as a Commissioner on Legal Empowerment for the Poor and is a Patron of the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect.
Marshall Herskovitz
Marshall is a writer, producer, and director in Los Angeles who has won many awards for his work in television and film. Born in Philadelphia, he attended Brandeis University, then moved to Los Angeles in 1975, where he attended the American Film Institute and met his longtime creative partner Edward Zwick. In the years since he helped create such TV series as thirtysomething, My So-Called Life, and Once and Again. Among the films he has produced are Legends of the Fall, Traffic, The Last Samurai, Blood Diamond and, most recently, Love and Other Drugs. Herskovitz, a longtime environmentalist, has served on the board of several organizations dedicated to preserving America’s precious natural resources. He currently serves as President Emeritus of the Producers Guild of America.
Geoff Haines-Stiles
Geoff Haines-Stiles is a producer, director and writer of science documentaries and specials. He was a Senior Producer and Series Director on Carl Sagan’s Emmy-winning COSMOS series, now seen by close to one billion people world-wide, produced and wrote NOVA’s “Is Anybody Out There” with comedian Lily Tomlin, and worked with then-Senator Al Gore on what was to be the “Earth in the Balance” mini-series, until presidential politics supervened, taping at the 1992 Rio Earth Summit! He recently wrote and directed the PBS special, “Earth: The Operators’ Manual,” first in a three part series on climate change and sustainable energy.
Natasha Paracha
Natasha graduated from the University of California Berkeley in 2005 with honors in Political Science and Business.  She is currently the Chairperson of Pakistani Affairs for the Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Organization at the United Nations and is also associated with several NGO's.  Natasha Paracha is  the founder of a non-profit called Vision of Development in which the goal is to reach out to the poverty stricken regions in Pakistan.  Alongside her academic and career achievements, Natasha is also Miss Pakistan World 2009.
Roz Savage
Roz is a British ocean rower and environmental campaigner. She rowed solo across the Atlantic in 2005-6 and across the Pacific in 2010. Combined, she has now rowed over 11,000 miles, taken 3.5 million oarstrokes, and spent cumulatively nearly a year of her life at sea in a 23-foot rowboat. Roz Savage is a UN Climate Hero, a presenter for the Climate Project, and an Athlete Ambassador for 350.org. She has been listed amongst the Top 20 Great British Adventurers by the Daily Telegraph. Her book, Rowing The Atlantic, is published in the US by Simon & Schuster.
