Marvin Bratke Architect

Marvin Bratke is German architect and designer, based in Berlin. His ongoing research and design ambitions focus on emergent technologies in architecture and industrial design, the digital methodology relating both professions and their application in performance-orientated, mobile and ecological building systems. He studied architecture at TU Munich and NTU Singapore. Marvin is Lecturer at TU Graz and held visiting professorships at Muthesius Academy of Arts in Kiel and Universidad Internacional SEK. He is frequently invited speaker to renowned universities like Architectural Association, The Bartlett UCL and international conferences like DETAIL Congress for Transformation or Ars Electronica IID. Marvin is a regular contributor to the academic discourse through published essays and scientific papers. Following ten years of collaborative experience in academic, research and professional projects he co-founded BART//BRATKE in 2014.His award winning work is widely published and frequently exhibited, i.e. at the IAA Frankfurt, Munich Design Week, Forward Festival and Experimental Architecture Biennale Prague.  Marvin’s work focuses on projects of various scales, disciplines and sectors in Europe, Saudi Arabia and China. Marvin collaborated on high profile, interdisciplinary architecture and design projects including the German Pavilion at 2019 Venice Biennale, the United Nations Green Climate Fund and creating the ground infrastructure for UAM Partners, like Volocopter.
